COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer began as an Imperial oatmeal brown. Free Willís brewer liked it but felt it either needed to be toned down, or have something added. One Village espresso roast coffee was cold-brewed, Kimberton brand coffee, added after fermentation and magic was born.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2013 10/31/13 $3.29 bottle from CBO 1st beer drank while giving out candy with K&L. Not a bad coffee beer. As like so many of them do, great coffee on the nose. Better mouthfeel then the espresso drank last week

Browned amber color with a decent enough head. Bold rush of coffee to those with some fruity notes but a lot of rough grounds as well. The body has an inch of fruitiness, but is mostly a rough coffee flavor, which is ok--as long as you love coffee. The coffee completely masks the alcohol content. Touch of coffee sugar on the finish.

Pours cloudy dark brown with a one finger tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is of coffee, toasted malts, nutty malts, sweet malts, caramel, molasses, light toffee, and some light vanilla. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium body with a creamy, velvety mouthfeel and a mostly sweet, medium-long finish. Overall, a tasty, pretty nice brown ale that has a great mouthfeel to it and shows off some nice coffee notes.

Bottle shared with my wife. Pours a hazed brown with a thin white head. Coffee and roast on the nose with a touch of chocolate. Medium bodied, roast and a bit of coffee, thin malt and a light burnt note. Slow roast on the finish and some coffee.

APPEARANCE - looks good as a brown ale. Darker than some, deep amber color. NOSE - considering the name and blah blah talk on the side, I expected a lot more in the coffee department. FLAVOR - good bit of malt, not feeling a ton of coffee.

Really nice brown ale from a new brewery for me. This is the first offering Iíve sampled from Free Will, and it was extremely delicious! This brown ale had a Guinness-type pour on the nitro at Craft Ale House. The body settled to a reddish-brown color with a tan head. The nose was smoky and roasty and the flavors were very unique. I tasted plenty of coffee, some vanilla, grassy and bitter hops and some oats. This is a very unique and different beer and very delicious and enjoyable! Well done!
