This beer began as an Imperial oatmeal brown. Free Will’s brewer liked it but felt it either needed to be toned down, or have something added. One Village espresso roast coffee was cold-brewed, Kimberton brand coffee, added after fermentation and magic was born.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2013 10/31/13 $3.29 bottle from CBO 1st beer drank while giving out candy with K&L. Not a bad coffee beer. As like so many of them do, great coffee on the nose. Better mouthfeel then the espresso drank last week

Has to be a top rankimg beer again. Only coffee tastes more like coffee. Deep and almost imperial style in flavor. Bitter notes as if biting in the beans themselves.

8oz pour at Al’s of Hampden pours a clear amber with zero head. Nose has all coffee, mild caramel, brown sugar, but just lots of Folger’s. Flavor has more sugar than the nose lets on, caramel, brown sugar and... coffee. Some rootbeer too. Sweet finish.

On tap. Pours a ruddy brown color with a medium white head. The aroma is big malty aroma with huge coffee. This is a great beer: massive coffee, milky, big grains, oatmeal, light toast. Great.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a caramel-brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was brewed coffee, a bit of vanilla, malty and somewhat sweet. The flavor was bad brewed coffee. Other flavors tried to come through but kept getting squashed by the overbearing bad brewed coffee presence. Unfathomably long finish - which in this case was not a good thing. Medium body. Not good.

bottle pour..light brown color with almost no head..nose is hazelnut soaked coffee beans with a chaser of vanilla..light-medium bodied not overly dominant with the oatmeal, coffee or the nuts, but does seem to leave a lingering hazelnut taste on the palate, feels like my cold press coffee took a bath in some oatmeal stout..chuck in some nutty character and you have this brown ale..if you like brown ales this might be up your alley? sightly sweet finish...

Chocolate and not bitter, tasty and not heavy. This is a delicious oatmeal stout. I would drink this consistently, but not more than a couple a night. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a light brown with no head. Aroma of coffee and sweet caramel malt. Taste is very sweet, malty with a bold coffee presence. Very sweet and malty but the bitterness from the coffee balances it out in the finish.
