3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice aroma of biscuit and some citrus. The flavor has the bread and sweet malts up front. The hops come in the back. Nice and peppery with a very dry finish.

thought this was a very good IPA. Not sure why itís rated so low in style points. Has all the characteristics of a good solid IPA

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky caramel-brown color with a large creamy-soapy orange-tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet pine, floral hops and had an earthy undertone. The flavor was sweetish pine, fruity hops, black pepper and hints of caramel and bread. Medium length pine, fruity hop adn black pepper finish. Medium body and the alcohol was well hidden. Decent but fairly subdued for a DIPA.

The perfect balance of hops and malt. This is the best imperial IPA on the market.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at Cedar Point. Pours a deep, murky reddish brown with small white head that quickly dissipates and some light lace. Nose of caramel, dark fruit, light roasted malt. Medium body, some hop bitterness but no good hop flavors. Malt bomb - caramel and roast with a bitter finish.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours a clear dark copper body under a one finger frothy white head that had pretty nice retention. The nose is overly sweet with caramel and crystal malt with a rather restrained hop level for an IIPA. This doesnít smell like itís going to be my kind of beer. The flavor is pretty similar to the aroma. Itís unfortunately sweet beyond what I can take for the style. Thereís way more caramel and brown sugar present than there are hop notes. I want boatloads of hops in a double IPA, not sugar overload. Medium bodied and slightly clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty bad recipe formulation on this one as far as my tastes go.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Hated it, not sure why a beer this expensive literally tastes like gin and had to be dumped out. What a waste all around.
