Keg @ The Exchange, Leicester. Quite nice for a bog standard lager. Rather have this than, say, a becks vier. Came in a nice glass. Sweet to start then quite bready to finish. Middling to fair really, but not bad.

Pint at The Salopian bar, Shrewsbury. Distinctly average lager, not too much taste, fairly bland.. Grassy, straw with a weak aftertaste. Have had better beers from these guys.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled (from AbM). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is quite genuine of mild salt water, some grainy and grassy notes along with some bread. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some floral and mild British like bitterness to it.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle @ Flat Iron. The pour’s deep gold with a small, frothy white head. The aroma’s lightly toasted malt, some grain. Honey comb and sweet breakfast cereal. The taste is more honey. A bit of white bread and grape. Soft shaggy tobacco leaf hop presence. Mildly toasty on the finish. The flavors aren’t in complete harmony. Light body, crisp. Decent with food, but not head of the class by any means.

Keg, The Font, Leicester. Golden with lots of carbonation. Aromas are toast and grain with peanuts and light lemon. Flavours are crisp and clean with cereal and grassy, citrus notes. Very burpy carbonation and hops. A decent lager.
