4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I used to drink Genny cream ale when I lived in NY. Can’t get it in Fl. When I saw this at Walgreens I noticed it was brewed in Rochester, NY so I knew it was a Genny product and when I saw it was an ale I was hoping it was a different name for the cream ale. WELL, IT IS. It is a close variation of Genny Cream Ale. I like it. I will buy more.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a bright golden with a medium white head that reduces fairly quickly. Aroma is corn grits and a bit of hop spice. Taste is sweet pale malt, corn and some grassy notes. Somewhat metallic. OK, for mass produced swill.

6/12/13. SCORE! Random tick from Walgreens - gotta love it! And always happy to help charity. Pale golden pour, basically no off-white head. Apples, hay, bread, cardboard, and flowers on the aroma. The flavor is much the same with a metallic kick. Mehhhhh.

Can thanks to Chudwick. Uhh...let freedom ring with watered down ale? It is easy drinking and more flavorful than the Budweiser I had before it, but...one wonders WTF sometimes.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
what better way to celebrate the start of the 100th Tour de France, than with Freedom Salute. 16oz can from Walgreens - pours pale gold with quickly diminishing white head. Nose is floral cardboard. Flavor adds light bread. decent aftertaste considering the nose and initial flavors. light to moderate sweetness and light bitterness.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUL 1, 2013 Impulse buy from Walgreens, tall can poured into pint glass. Clear amber’ish golden-pale color with white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt and very slight fruity note. Taste is kind of doughy, corny and some grain. Light body, heavy carbonation, sweet with a dry finish. Not really remarkable for my first cream ale, guess I can only go up from here!

Even though this a cheap beer, it still has more going on the the classic Budweiser. Poured a nice dark gold with a slight head. It has a slightly fruity aroma, It has a smooth taste with a hint of sweetness.
Being that I’m a US Army Iraq veteran I like the can as well.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Deep gold brew poured from the tall boy can. The head is creamy and off white. A sweet doughy nose has some green apple and cereal notes. This is a little bit grainy and has some hints of corn flakes. The finish is a little bit of green apple and hay. Not bad for the money.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Should have known that my old buddy PorterPounder would have beaten me to this one. Clear, sweet corny aroma. Clear specimen gold, white loose-knit head. This can is destined for someone’s 1977 beer can wall display as an add-on. A blatant appeal to 4th of July patriotism to cover up for brewing a cheap, nasty lager. Under-bittered, some musky straw flavors, thin body. Bland breakfast cereal finish. Walgreen’s.

Can. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is basic corny bread, grainy and some biscuit. Flavor is bland, sweet and grainy, not much going on though not offensive. Sweet with a lingering honeyish finish.
