Dark brown with thin tan head that collapses to lacing. not much by way of aroma, thin bodied with a touch of milk chocolate and roast coffee in finish.Quite sour for a stout. Disappointing

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Black pour with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Same aspects in flavour. Pretty good.

Hand pulled. Black with rich ruby highlight. Thin tan head. Rich biscuity stout, with little nose. Some fruitiness and a nice dry bitter finish. Not quite "stout" enough, but nice and light.

Keg at Jekyll and Hyde, Birmingham. Dark brown, with 1cm of white head. Taste is uncomplicated and smooth with traces of Nescafe on the finish. Pleasant, but lacks flavour.

Keg at The Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Black with fizzed head. Dry, roasty, creamy beer but thin on the palate. Lasting charred note. It’s ok.

Pours black colour with light head. Aroma of salmiac, licorice, ash, dark malts and some chocolate. Flavour is pretty much the same. Medium carbonation, medium-bodied.

Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roasted, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100730]
