Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, keller, light to moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, dusty hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Pours a hazy amber with a handsome, off-white head with a good retention. Discreet aroma of nuts. Fairly light-bodied with lots of flavour: nuts, caramel and a hint of citrus. Dry finish without being overly bitter. A nice Bitter. 020806

Bottled. Pale golden with firm head. Flowery smokey nose. Firm, rounded soft maltiness with a body and mouthfeel reminding of a good German Helles, even though English barley is used here. Quite bitter finish witha hint of tobacco. A discrete, introvert beer, very pleasant throughtout, never pushy or intimidating, nor average or boring.
