Grim Reaper is a wonderfully aromatic golden bitter, brewed using only traditional hand picked ingredients.

My notes from the rating of this beer are rather illegible beeing the last beer of a tasting session with about 40 beers in total..... Fine off-white head, orange body. Yeast, fruit and orange aroma. Rather thin flavor of hops and fruit with a harsh finish. Nothing special.

Orange. Sour and bitter. Rye taste. A pretty average bitter. Nothing special about it. Not enough hoppy taste in spite of the bitterness.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2008 0,5 l bottle. Hazy amber color, nice off-white head. Aroma is hops and malt. Flavor is fruity and malty with nice hops. Much taste in a low alcohol-beer.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy copper with a big white head. Nose is metallic and hoppy with some malt sweetness. Mouth is thin watery and very metallic. Some caramel malt and some thin hops there too. Some nuts and more of this bloody metallicness in the palate Disappointing.

Fairly average beer in all aspects. Aroma and taste are quite citrus with a slght caramel sweet taste.

Aroma: moderate esters of rose, dandelion and aniseed hop character, earthy, nutty and slightly musty. slight sweet malt, moderate caramel, slight toastiness.
Appearance: Hazy, murky, wispy off white head.
Flavour: earthy, dandelion hop flavour that is subdued, tired malt that doesn’t have the crisp nuttiness of good bitter, slight autolysis, caramel is too dominant. lingering after-taste.
Palate: short, thin, lingering musty hop flavour and not the rounded bitterness to carry this beer. slight sourness in the end.
Overall: Tired bitter that has spent it’s best days in an unrefrigerated container going around the earth. Not infected but a really poor example of a bitter in a tired condition. worst beer I have had in a long time.
