COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed for the co-operative farms. A special edition ale using barley grown on our own farms made into malt in the traditional way. A chestnut brown ale, with an initial bitterness then a fully rounded character absolutely packed with malt flavour. The beer has an aromatic finish derived from Worcestershire Sovereign hops grown especially for Freeminer.

From a Co-op somewhere in Newcastle. Nice deep copper colour, thick white head, attractive aromas of hops and malt. Medium bodied malty palate balanced by a hoppy/spicy finish. Good.

500ml bottle from a co-operative shop in Tayport, Fife. Dark amber body under a decent off- white head. Light smell of fruit and berries. Fruitlike malts in flavour added by late orange on a mild spicy background. Crisp and dry in the mouth [02.11.2008].

Bottle. Dark bronze beer with a strong head. The aroma is slihgtly undescribeable, I will leave it as bubbles and mildly caramel. The flavour is very well hopped, dry and caramel. Overall an average beer.

Bottle, brown coloured beer with some average carbonation and a small to average off-white head. Special grainy roasted and malty aroma. Full creamy sweet fruity palate. Finish is bitter fruity, roasted with some sweeter touches. Not bad, this one.

<i>500ml bottle from my local Co-op store.</i> Copper with a ring of off-white head; damp straw aroma; sweet and sour fruit and chewy caramel flavours, quite lively in the mouth; dry, nutty and malty finish. Warming and very pleasing.

500ml bottle from a local co-op store. Reddish amber in colour with a slight, off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Sweet red fruit and caramel aroma with a hint of earthiness. Flavour had plenty more fruit, some chewy biscuit malt and a balancing long, dry finish. Good.
