3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 bobinlondon (1179) - Harrow, - MAR 5, 2009
Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Gold with a delicate white head. A very drinkable beer for it’s type with noticable honey well balanced by the first gold hops.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - DEC 14, 2011
Tasted this in the Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in March 2010. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear gold in colour with a thin white head. Fresh green apple and elderflower in the short but fragrant aroma. Pale malt base gives an initial sweet honey glazed flavour which fades to be replaced by a chalky askit powder taste. Dusty bitter hop resins are present in the dry aftertaste. Finish is slightly sweet and thin with warming clear honey evident in the mouth. An ok session bitter but there are better honey styles out there.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 gracefullypunk (667) - Oregon, USA - MAR 12, 2010
Pours honey gold with a minimal white head. Aroma is apple and honey, fresh. Taste is honey, apple, sugar and wheat. Acceptable.

Cask in the new crown. Alround rating: Sweet honey and slightly grainy pale malts, herbal perfumy floral hop helped on with the honey, quite well balanced and tasty all round.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 imdownthepub (7491) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 21, 2009
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. Highly perfumed golden beer with a ripe lychee flavour, slightly off and metallic unfortunately, not to my taste.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2009
Cask handpull at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Gold, lasting white head. Good condition. Honey really shines through. Gives it some sweetness, but keeps its balance. I liked it very much. Good honey and flavour balanced by hop. Good.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 3, 2009
Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Gold with a small white head. I picked up a citric aroma. Odd malty taste that I could never quite pin down, by turns almond, cardboard, earth and bread. Quite sharp bitterness. No appreciable honey. Still changing my mind about this one.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 3, 2009
A Mes rate: cask at Baker St ’Sporks. Clean gold with a decent white head and reasonable condition. Faint hint of honey on the nose with some bready malt in the background and some faint pig farm. Similar flavour with a strong mineral note. The honey develops a little in the finish but it doesn’t do much overall. Good mouthfeel thanks to the adjuncts. So so.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 berkshirejohn (3020) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 26, 2009
Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Very average and uninteresting. Pale gold with a thin white head; no noticeable aroma; lemon and lime flavours over a watery grainy base; little in the way of a finish. No sign of any honey.
