12oz pour at Meridian Pint. Watery, deep brown with one ring of white head. Nose is dusty, dried malt, light toasted bread, some pine, some dried lemon peel. Flavor is malty, citrus, pine, cracker, brown bread. Medium bodied, dry finish.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2013 On tap at Pizzeria Paradiso - Dupont. Pours a fairly-dark brown with a thin whisp of a head. The nose has mild roast and pine plus backing earth. The body is light and quite dry. Flavor pops more than the nose. I’m not sure how old this was, but I didn’t really get any dry hop character. It’s a bit acrid in the finish, but otherwise no complaints at all. A solid beer.

Draft. Hazy brown color, medium off white head. Aroma of pine and chocolate chips. Taste starts roasty then bitterpine. More of a black IPA, but very tasty regardless.

Pours a deep dull brown color with a couple fingers of off white foam. On the nose its light and subtle with roasted malt notes mingling with touches of chocolate and piney citrus. On the palate its light and refreshing but has a nice medium to full body that is dialed in to perfection with mouthfeel. Alot of the same flavors that the nose detected but a bit more citrus fruit mingles with the malty roasted notes.

Interesting take on a Sasion looking at it and smelling it I thought it was a black IPA. Had a light funk to it and the mouthfeel was light. It was roasty and hoppy as well. It was a fun brew to drink
