2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Draught at Realtail festival at Freetail) clear deep copper, very few bubbles on the edges. Nose of honey, cereal grains, fruity. Taste of raw grain mash, cereal, mild honey, biscuit, permanent hair chemicals, and butter. Oddly drinkable with a clean finish, that remains bitter and fruity on the palate.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled at the Freetail and Real Ale barrel-aged festival.
The beer pours an amber color with a white head. The aroma is strong on the toffee malts. The flavor is a little bit different. I get notes of piney and grassy hops along with some toffee malt. The hop bitterness and malty sweetness is very well balanced in this beer. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Smells like old leather Doc Martens. Orangish flavor. I can see it going well with Indian food. That’s a compliment.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pitcher split with DarkBeerChick at the brewpub. Poured an inviting, clear, dark copper body with just a ring of ivory head. Aromas of light malt sweetness, some piney hops and not much else. Flavor was light caramel sweetness, hints of pine hops and a little roastyness. Thin to medium mouthfeel.

Nice copper red with a light head. Aroma is rich and inviting with slight hops. Flavor was surprisingly full bodied with mild hops and a mild sweetness. Not bad at all and would probably order again.

rusty hops and aged maple aromas .. . don’t mention the war! .. . light spritzy bubbles for an amber .. . great lacing .. . finishes clean, pretty good stuff, just not overlly elaborate.. good for the casual stumbler into craftbeerland..
