Pours an average amber with a nose of toasty, dried hops. Flavor is leaves, hops, and toast. Oily on the palate. Tasty.

(Draught) Pours a clear orange body with a medium white head. Aroma of nuts, caramel, honey, caramel, and grain. Flavor of caramel, herbs, dried apricot, biscuit, and grass.

A nice ornge-hued ale. Maple and brown sugar hints in the malty.aroma. malty flavor like an amber. Light bite and dark malty aftertaste.

on tap-pours an off white head and gold/amber color. Aroma is grain-caramel. Taste is garin-caramel, some apricot/mango/spice hops. Interesting.

on tap at Freetail Brewpub SA(9Jan11)pours light amber/orange with a thin to medium off white head. Aroma is toast and nuts. Flavor is full of biscuit, toast, nuts. Layers of malt character finished with a healthy finish of pine bitterness.

on tap at the brewpub. poured copper with a white head. aroma was caramel, grain, and light citrus. flavor was pretty much the same with a light body and medium carbonation.

tap at freetail. poured amber with a cream head. nose is hops and caramel. very easy on the palate, flavors of caramel and hops, smooth finish. easy to drink.

(Draught at Realtail festival at Freetail) clear deep copper, very few bubbles on the edges. Nose of honey, cereal grains, fruity. Taste of raw grain mash, cereal, mild honey, biscuit, permanent hair chemicals, and butter. Oddly drinkable with a clean finish, that remains bitter and fruity on the palate.

Sampled at the Freetail and Real Ale barrel-aged festival.
The beer pours an amber color with a white head. The aroma is strong on the toffee malts. The flavor is a little bit different. I get notes of piney and grassy hops along with some toffee malt. The hop bitterness and malty sweetness is very well balanced in this beer. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
