3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, shared by Greg (thanks!). Ananke and Raspberry ananke tasted side-by-side. From rough notes.
Ananke - pours gold, hazy; light body, soft carb; sour, musty, cereal grains. Nod goes to raspberry here, but definitely nice.
Raspberry - pours an attractive red-pink; huge fruity raspberry nose, smells like candy (cotton candy meets jolly rancher). Some cherry as well. Very nice.

GABF 2013. Cloudy, light-yellow straw color. Nice funky nose, some white wine on the nose. Crisp, clean, and refreshing sour if not all that complex with nice tartness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2010 bottle traded by JtClockwork. Aroma is tart noble rot , vinegar, and wheat. Pours hazy blonde and super flat. Taste is ok with sour white grapes, funky wheat, and slight champagne. Mouthfeel is tame with very little bite and deifinitely no carb. Overall, a pleasant taste with a dissappointing presence. Word has it that future years were better.

bottle share at BW - pre-hill farmstead 3rd anniversary. hazy pale yellow with a decent white head, some retention. cheesy, very fruity - hint of sweetness, fat chardonnay grapes, moderate oak presence, light acidity. average carbonation, light body - oily, grassy-herbal and a nice lightly tart grapes finish. nice use of oak but could use a little more balance. much enjoyed it though!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (22 oz). Shared by Seth and the Texas crew, thanks! Hazy straw color with a little white head and almost no lacing. Aroma of chardonnay, grapes, oak, tart notes and fruity notes. Taste is slightly sweet and moderately sour with chardonnay, fruits, oak, grapes, lemon and some grassy notes. Medium body. Moderate to good carbonation. Mouthfeel is dry and winey. It not stands with the best of the style, but its an honest Sour Ale that is well executed and enjoyable.
