COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What was formerly Oulawed has been pirated! McCaw’s secret booty was laid back late last summer in retired Dry Comal Creek wood. The cache stashed, the Outlaw dashed out and the Bandito cashed in with a deliciously dry, slightly sour red ale still with a malt backbone, wisps of brush honey and the unmitigated funk of a Texas Wild Ale.

On tap at Freetail. Sweet/sour with a slight peppery-ness in the aroma. Hazy brownish copper with minimal head. Medium carbonation. Flavor is sour fruit with touches of yummy maltiness. Very good.

Bottle at home with friends. Pour is murky brown pour with a small tan head and good lacing. Huge acidic aroma - peachy, oaky, caramelly, bready , tannic, red wine, and lacto. Taste is peachy, green apples, pears, lemony, acidic, oaky, lemon notes, caramel, and bready, with a big sour finish. Medium body with high carboantion. Pretty sour stuff.

A - pours a strawberry prune juice brown with a tiny ring of white head. S - smells like a sour brown. And... Some strawberry notes, cheap pink wine, brown sugar, art red berries and cherries, leather and tobacco. Light lemon juice. M - sharp bitter tartness up front, flat sweet middle and a dry end. T - interesting combo of grassy bitterness and sharp sour brown. This tastes a bit like a seedy bran muffin. But with Acetic right up front and lemon juice. The palate rolls to the tobacco, canned cherries and underripe berries with brown sugar to a malty almost robotussin palate. End it bitter grasses, astringent and mineral water. O - good but a bit astringent/cough syrupy/bitter. 3.2

Wow, tons of acetone aroma. Sharp bitterness on the palate, man this is bad. Not as much nail polish on my tongue. And it wasn't like this on tap at the release. Sad :(

Hugely overcarbonated beer which is understandable for a sour, but it kills alot of complexity.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear copper color with a frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour dark honey, yeast and wood aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy complex sour flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer for style.

Bottle thanks to Dallas. Cool label. Pours a copper color with a large white head. The aroma is sour cherry, tart acidic. A very nice lambic-like flavor which is at times very sour, some dark cherries, woody, quite dry. Very good and well crafted
