3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Freetail. Dark basically black. The aroma is tart, roasted, and alcohol which seems to be the whiskey barrel it was aged in. The taste has whiskey, roast but the the finish is very nice. A fudgy chocolate taste that is reminisce of fudgy brownies. The cherries wern’t to detectable in taste and I would have liked a little more of that character to show up more but it was enjoyable.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
It think they resurrected this from the dead... Pours plack with a soapy head. Gorgeous aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, and a hint of sweet cherries. Flavor is right on the money with same notes as the aroma but with the added hint of cherry and chocolate liqueur trailing on the palate. Really, really, deliciously awesome. I tried to get a growler but it was a special release and weren’t doing growler fills... D’OH!

Tap at the pub. Black with a cream head. Nose is cherry, vanilla, roasted malts, and chocolate. Smooth palate, heavy roastiness along with a very sweet finish of cherries.
