A slightly different take on Berliner Weisse. This one gets its funk from barrel aging.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Freetail. Aroma is sour and a little sweet. Pours hazy gold with little creamy head. Tastes like it smells...sour with a touch of sweetness. Not too sour - just right. Refreshing.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAY 22, 2011 On tap at the brewpub. One of five sours on tap at the Bandito and Woodicus bottle release. Only five gallons of this beer were brewed.
The beer pours a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the wheat with a little bit of tartness mixed in. The flavor is where this beer really shines. I get a lot of tart lemon notes with some wheat. The beer is fairly lactic and is mouth puckering due to the sourness. Thin to medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. I love this style of beer and this one didnít disappoint.
