COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditional Helles-style lager—Munich’s initial answer to Bohemian Pils—very pale, with significant sweet malt flavor and drying hop finish. The base beer for this year’s Funkiest of Show, Nacho Sancho Ancho.

Lively carbonation powers a pleasant bouquet of aromas from the pour. The appearance is pleasant, a true gold body with a creamy head. The palate is right for the style and the hop character is a complimentary herbal but earthy note. This is the most delicious beer I have tasted from Freetail.

On tap at brewpub. Pours a clear orange gold with a small off white head. The aroma is wheat and hay. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet wheat and honey flavor with a sweet finish. Easy to drink a very good Helles from Freetail.

Tap at brewpub May 2012-pours lightly hazy gold with a small soapy white head. nose is lightly sweet lite spicy hops and some toasted cereal grains. flavors follow suit with a nice sweet toasted malt base, lite cereal and lite spicy hops. comes across a bit sweet to me however, its well done for the style and clean. For me, it could use a bit more bittering hops, but then it would be a Bohemian Pils. Good none the less.
