This is a pretty solid english pale ale. Not a lot of noise, but there is a solid hops backbone with a resinous sticky mouth feel. Tastes similar to sierra nevada’s pale ale.

On tap at RealTail Festival at Freetail. Pours a cloudy orange copper with a medium off white head that dissipates quickly to nothing. The aroma is a sweet fruity malt and wheat grass. Sweet hop flavor and honey with a nice bitter finish. Easy to drink, a good pale ale from Freetail.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Mora2000 (2966) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 19, 2010
Sampled on tap at the Freetail-Real Ale barrel-aged festival in San Antonio.
The beer pours a hazy yellow orange color with a white head. The aroma is grapes and apples with some grassy hops. The flavor is bready malt plus grassy and earthy hops. While drinking the beer the only way I could describe it was as "very British." Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. This one would be very interesting to try on cask.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ansermadide (865) - Kyle, Texas, USA - JUL 17, 2010
Broken Promise has a muted, dirty brown/golden-tan (have I confused you yet?) color with brown hues and a small, fine white head. It has a delicious hop-malt aroma with a little hint of body odor. Awesome hop character in this with a spicy malt presence. Delicious. Tongue-numbingly hoppy, but moderate finish. I love the malts in this beer. It tastes even better the more you drink.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Nellie (312) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 17, 2010
Another poolside beer from freetail. Brown sugar. Metal in the back of the throat. I think I would like a Jersey Mikes club sandwich with this beer.
