Backlogged rating. The smell is obviously coffee, mints, malts, and ok. The look is brownish, with a beige colored head. The taste is coffee, malts, and some bitterness.

On tap at the RealTail debaucle. Poured a dark brown body with some nice ivory head. Amazing aroma of fresh coffee, roasty and a hint of smoke. Flavors of day old coffee, light sweetness, roastiness and a medium bitter finish. Lively carbonation and a medium mouthfeel.

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2010 Growler thanks to mar, via bu11zeye. Pours with a deep brown body with minimal off-white head. Aroma from a mile away is pungent, nutty, coffee. On a actual sniff, espresso ice cream, nuts and cola. Tons of coffee. Taste is tons of coffee (american style coffee). Cold pressed, nutty and deep. Moderate carbonation. Another great, and straight forward coffee beer.

Had this one at the Freetail and Real Ale barrel-aged festival. This is A Beer Called Tim brewed with coffee. The beer pours a dark brown color with an off-white head. The aroma is strong coffee with some roasted malt notes. The flavor is coffee, roasted malt and some chocolate. Thin to medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. I think this beer, with the coffee, is better than the regular version.

On tap at RealTail Festival at Freetail. Pours a dark brown with a small creamy light tan head that lasts awhile leaving good stick lacing along the glass. The aroma is a light roast with coffee and chocolate. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet malt with chocolate and a nice light bitter finish. East to drink a good schwarzbier from Freetail.

On tap at Freetail. Super rich dark brown with minimal light tan head. Aroma is STRONG coffee - like a fresh brewed pot. Taste is very roasty almost like burnt old coffee. It’s very bitter with a strange aftertaste. Not sweet AT ALL. Smells MUCH better than it tastes.
