COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Legend has it that long ago, before the Aztecs, the god Quetz chose the Talarida bat to care for and proliferate the fruit of Opuntia-the tuna, or prickly pear. Since then Fortuna Roja-the red crested vanguard, has warded the little fruit from feasting predator insects and carried its pollen across countries and continents as the cacti have travelled from their source in ancient Tenochtitlan. This stunningly bright-hued beer is our hommage to the efforts of Fortuna Roja, its intense tartness curbed only by the fullness imparted by the tunas during its long torpor in oaken barrels.

Bottle courtesy of nimbleprop, thank you sir! Pours cloudy pink, scant off white head. Aroma of maraschino cherries, raspberries, dusty lemons, cotton candy. Taste has a sweet cherry candy start, then tart cherries, raspberries, hint of vanilla. Very tasty.

22oz bottle pours a hazy, grapefruit pink color with one ring of white head. Nose is weird, rhubarb jam, bread and butter pickles, dill, watermelon. Flavor is the same, dill pickles, vegetables, cucumbers, carrot, vinegar. It’s like drinking pickled rhubarb. Acidic finish.

Rubay amber pour with a thin white head. Grassy watermelon, loam, and hints of cider dominate. Very candy like throughout. In a word: Watermelon Jolly Rancher. Medium palate, high levels of carbonation and a dry finish.

Thanks to nimbleprop. Hazy ruby/orange pour. Nose is quite vegetive, but the flavor brings more nice watermelon, grass, manure, and sour Warheads. Quite crisp, effervescent palate, still very sweet. Not bad, but not awesome.

Bottle shared by nimbleprop. Pours clear strawberry with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with no lacing. Aroma is watermelon, strawberry, wet grass, light straw malt and low hops. Flavor is fruity, seedy, grassy, light malt, low bitterness, lemon, and a dry finish. Light body, low warmth, and medium carbonation.

transparent ruby grapefruit, thin white large bubbles ring. Nose is tangy, sharp fruit with grapefruit, light egg and salt. Flavor is sweeter, more juice through finish, odd salty sardine notes in nose with warmth. Fruity, light, sweeter but pleasantly sour.

651mL thanks to nimbleprop. The pour is a glowing, hazy rose. Small white head. Nose is 100% dill pickle with the aceto vinegar, dill, mustard seed, everything! Uncanny. Taste is mild cherry, bit acetic vinegar character. Mild graininess and mash. Eh- not a big fan.

Cherry and kosher pickle nose. Sour fruit and light dill pickles. It’s not terrible or anything, just very odd.

Bottle shared by nimbleprop: pours a clear bright pink with a small ring of white head. Has a tart dill pickle nose and a touch of light fruits. Starts with average fullness and mild sweetness with decent tartness before a drier slightly puckering finish. Could use a little less vinegar.

Clear salmon colored pour. Smells like a pickle - lots of dill. Similar taste. Very much like a dill pickle. Moderate sourness. Dry with some pepper. Fruity, maybe some raspberry and almost a bit fish. Really weird.
