On tap at the brewpub. Deep copper in color with a decent off-white head. Aroma is of tropical fruits, malt, citrus, and tons of pine. Taste includes the pine as well with notes of fruit, caramel, alcohol, and toffee. Goes down very smooth. Delicious.

This is a big beer! .. Pours a shimmering dark gold, with tons of foam .. lots of sap, pine, and resin .. . very smooth for 12% but its most definitely a sipper .. This would be great if offered in bottles and sold in cali, they’d cream over this! .. this almost put Paul over the top..

Mar is the man! Nice hazy orange pour. Small head. Aroma is loaded with fruity hops, some honey, and light maple syrup notes! Flavor is sweet and malt with hop flavor all over the place. Very fruity, very malty. Hops are present more in flavor than in bitterness. Damn nice!

Beerlando (3324) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 2, 2010
12 oz. bottle, courtesy 4.4-40. The pour yields a lightly hazy, glowing, orange-amber body with a thin, ivory colored film. A dense, sugary wash leaves tiny spots of lace behind to dry. The nose is just massively sweet, showing heaps of sugary toffee and stale, saccharine cereal grain. There’s a peppery, grassy hop component, along with some lemon peel, but it doesn’t even come close to balancing out this malt bomb. Flavors are astringent and alcoholic, with mounds of sugary, spent grain dominating what underlying grass and citrus hops remain. The palate is thick, sugary, cloying, and downright hot. I’m not sure how old this bottle is (it seems ancient), but if the brewer doesn’t have a problem charging an astronomical price for it in this state, I don’t have a problem rating it as the disappointment that it is.

hopscotch (7538) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 22, 2010
Bottle… Lightly hazy orange ale with a small, white head. The bouquet is all about musky, resiny hops with a touch of honey malt. Medium to full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor is sadistically bitter and the finish is raspy and Mojave-dry. Bottle courtesy of cmillward!

Bottle courtesy CMillward. Pours a dark caramel pour. Very pungent hop aroma, way over the top. Super bitter hops and very sweet malts. Just ok.

BMan1113VR (6531) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JAN 31, 2010
Bottle thanks to Travita. Pours with a large white head that fades over a hazy golden body. Aroma is a whole lot of hops, sugary, and very 120 like. Taste is alcohol, caramel, hops, tangerine, spicy, and bitter pine. Taste is hot, big, syrupy and in my opinion, fun!

Bottle. The look is orange in color, has a decent off white head, and is a little cloudy. The smell is very much tropical fruits, hops, caramel, sweet, and alcohol. Smooth feel. The taste is sweet, fruits, hops, caramel, and alcohol.
