Draft: dinner @ Freetail .. . pours a dark amber .. low foam .. quite damn sweet, very ,alt heavy .. syrup, sap, and light soap .. meh also, like a double ipa but with only the malt doubled .. . . Well, I wouldn’t argue that it wasn’t a no-holds-barred, adrenaline-fueled thrill ride. But there is no way you can perpetrate that amount of carnage and mayhem and not incur a considerable amount of paperwork.

Old note from the Figgin’ Woody Release, on tap. Poured a near clear deep amber with a near white head that dissipated to the edges and had a hint of lacing. Aroma has a good amount had a good amount of light pine and citrus with a strong grain backbone. Flavor starts with nice pine and a bit of itrus the mellows into a grain finish.

On tap at the brewpub shortly after the La Muerta bottle release. The beer pours an orangish-amber color with a white head. The aroma is classic American IPA, with a little bit of biscuit malt and a lot of orange citrus and pine from the hops. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of juicy orange citrus notes, as well as some biscuit malt. I also get some resin from the piney hops, but this takes a backseat to all of the citrus hop character. The bitterness is pretty low and the alcohol is fairly well hidden. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
