(Draught at Realtail festival at Freetail) clear rich orange with very few bubbles. Nose of Belgian yeast, oranges, celery, herbal, and some candi sugar. Taste of Belgian yeast, spicy, cinnamon and other spices, wheat/rye bread and honey. Well carbonated with a nice palate linger.

Tap flight at the brewery. The bartender was super cool and surprised me with a flight of beers he thought I’d like. I had no idea what I was drinking with each pour. This is a very unique beer and I was glad that the staff couldn’t really tell me a defined style after I asked. The best way I could describe this is a Belgian Yeast Wheat ESB. (Try it and that won’t sound so crazy.) Hazy iced tea color in the glass with a faint off white head. Lots of banana and clove flavor throughout. A Euro hop bitterness sparks at the end. My tongue numbs from the yeast. Extremely interesting. It was very good and a beer I would order again.

Tap at the RealTail thing. Poured a clear light honey-colored with an off white head that left some lacing. Aromas of floral hops and lightly sweet. Flavors of candi sweetness, a little spicy, grainy hops and a light bitter finish. Active carbonation and a medium mouthfeel.

On tap at RealTail Festival at Freetail. Pours a clear orange copper with a small frothy white head that lasts awhile. The aroma is sweet fruit malt and yeast. Medium mouthfeel wtih a dry hop and clove with a nice dry finish. A good Belgian from Freetail.

Sampled on tap at the Freetail-Real Ale barrel-aged festival in San Antonio. The beer pours a hazy golden color with a white head. The aroma is a mix of yeast, citrus fruit, grassy and earthy hops. The flavor is more of the same, with the grassy and earthy notes dominating the flavor. I get the slightest bit of yeast character which is probably from the Belgian yeast, but other than that, this beer seems more English than Belgian. Medium carbonation and medium mouthfeel.

On tap at Freetail. Golden yellow with white head. Light banana and clove aroma. Tastes is like an average beer with hints of herb, clove and coconut. It’s a Belgian style, but barely.

Not bad. Tastes like beer. Looks like beer. Seriously though. I’d drink it again.
