(Draught) deep espresso brown, fine tan bubbles. Nose of clove, oak, smoke, chocolate and heavy spices. Taste of heavy spices, clove, oak and tannins. Medium body, medium carbonation, and a heavy spice linger.

On tap at Freetail. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong smoke, wood, roast. Thin mouthfeel with strong dark chocolate, oak, and nice smoke finish. Very good.

Tap at brewpub Jan 2014 Pours dark almost black with a small kacki head. Nose is lite oak woody lite smoke char chocolate ashy qualities. I get a hint of alcohol and vanilla. Flavors are robust woody chocolate lite smoke and char. Very smooth not harsh and soft palate. Long char ash and chocolate on the finish with vanilla undertones. Body is somewhat lite and alcohol is not detected. Very good big stout but not imperial.

Draft @ Freetail .. . pours a radio black .. solid headring, lacing is very good .. . tar, light oak, and subtle smoke .. . a bit chewy .. very solid brew, the oak comes out nicely but i still like the bigger smoke presence in the original .. . . My goodness, what a lovely suit, sheriff. Is that seersucker?
