3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Huhzubendah (2006) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 12, 2012
Big thanks to Curtis for sending me this growler! Shared with the other Matt last week.
The beer is a copper / orange / amber hue, depending on where the light hits the glass. The liquid is very hazy, with nearly an inch of off white head that exhibits lasting retention.
The aroma is a blend of hops and malt, with light citrus.
The flavor is well balanced and enjoyable. This is a nice pale ale, and fresh tasting.
The body is light, but not thin, per se. The aftertaste leaves a lasting hop bitterness (positive) on the palate.
Overall, a nice, light beer. A good choice for warm weather. I would have this again.

On tap at the brewpub. Sampled with DarkBeerChick. Poured a dark amber body with some off-white head. Aromas of piney hops that’s fairly assertive. Some floral notes afterwards. Flavors of mostly piney/floral hops, lightly malty sweet (fairly balanced), grassy/floral hops in the end. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Not a bad choice for pizza on date night.

Moderately orange translucent pale with an off-white frothy head and sparse carbonation. Lightly sweet aroma. Balanced malt-hop flavor. Better than I expected. Easy drinking but still with a strong hop resence for a pale. Rocking lacing!
