Deep amber brew, slight head. Nose is slightly sour with dark fruit, oak, and leather. Lively and full bodied - flavor is cherry, wood, vinous. Delicious TX brewed sour, glad I grabbed a couple to age.

Bomber purchased at Freetail. Dark hazy brown with a very small head. Nose is huge tartness cherries, tartness-nice and inviting. Taste is the same with lots of tartness, very dry, Nice base of cherries (?) and lots of tanginess tart. Delicious and a great representation of the Belgian Rodenbach style-well done Freetail!

My first Freetail sour....
Pours a dark, weak coffee brown with a fine sheet of light tan foam. Smells like tart, dark grape juices, some currant, a little oak, some leather and balsamico. Lovely nose. Nice and sour with cherry, grape, and raisin. Some oak, some sugar, a little bit of tobacco leaf. Light bodied balanced well with the slight sweetness and medium carb with a watering finish. I really, really enjoyed this beer. Would love to have more.

Aroma of sour cherries. A dark brown pour with mostly diminishing off-white head. The taste is medium sour - sour cherries, port wine notes. Light bodied with minimal carbonation. Crisp. Overall, enjoyable.

Dark and barrely; dates and other dark fruits blend with a strong port wine kick. Healthy amount of sourness before finishing oaky and dry. Another tasty sour from Freetail.

Pours like a nice black cup of joe in color with a bit of a soapy head. Slight aroma of soil and clay. Nice tangy sour on the palate that finishes dry. Overall a solid brew...

Tap flight at the brewery. Brown colored pour with a red hue and a medium lacing white head. Aroma of lightly aged balsamic vinegar and red wine vinegar. Taste is slightly sour but not at all funky or overpowering. Reminiscent of a less sweet Duchesse De Bourgone. Clean finish. A refreshing sour and good for noobs to the style. Bartender says this must have mellowed because it was really sour a month and a half ago. Well done.

3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz. brown bottle purchased at the brewpub. Poured into a tulip. It looks dark brown as it pours and almost black in the glass. Aroma has cherries(a lot), a little lemon, and some vinegar but not much. A really good aroma. The taste is strongly acidic in a vinegar sort of way, cherries, and what seems like a wine barrel character. An acetic forward sour. It almost burns at the back of the throat. The taste is a definite dropdown from the aroma. Not really my cup of tea or I mean glass of beer
