Bottle at RBWG ’15 Grand Tasting @ Coppertail, thanks to whomever shared this one, 21/02/15. Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is funky, spice, bitter red berry, light caramel, damp straw. Taste comprises dark fruit rinds, red berry tang, cherry skins, toffee, spice, wooded tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a tangy red berry wash. Decent enough sour.

Bottle: Dark golden pour with a substantial haze, fuzzy white head dissipates quickly. Sweaty cherry skin aroma with undertones of lemon, melon, tart lacto, heavy yogurt, & wet bales of hay. Little bit of oaky tannin notes, too. Flavor is more mineral heavy with an under ripe stone fruit skin quality, moderate acidity. Cherry skin, soft wheaty hay, damp woody funk, tannins, a bit of white great. Lemon & cherry dry up the finish along with the oak. Nice beer, though I prefer regular Ananke by a bit.

Bottle shared at RBWG 2015! Pours a hazy yellow gold with minimal head or lace. Aroma of nice lactic sour with cherry sweetness. Taste follows, tart and well rounded, a hint of butric acid on the back end. May develop well with time, but pretty good right now.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Pours cloudy and golden with no head. The aroma is bready with additional touches of funk, cracker and wood. Not all that fruity. Medium to full-bodied with zippy carbonation. The flavor is sour, fruity and yeasty, but I don’t get cherries here at all. Very tart finish. Pretty awesome, cherries or not. Thanks to Rosebud butternuts for shopping this world class brew my way!
