Bottle shared @ Crooked Stave ROY-G-BIV Day. Pour is hazy orange with a big cream-colored head and good lacing. Huge weed, danky, resinous aroma - light garlic notes. Taste is not as overpowering as the aroma, but still heavy weed, dank hops biscuity, doughy and grassy with a huge bitter finish and lingering aftertaste. Medium body with high carbonation. Not bad, but a bit overdone IMO.

Bottle @ Crooked Stave ROY-G-BIV Day. Pours a fairly clear, orange/copper appearance with a tan head. Grapefruity, a bit spicy, dank hoppy aroma. A bit juicy, pineapple/citrusy, piney, sweet toasted malty flavor. Overall, not bad.

Tan and clear with a good head and lace. The malt base is ample and there’s plenty of grapefruity hops. There’s also a nice bit of sweetness that gives this beer an extra dimension, it’s quite not as dry as some IPAs. Body is medium, moderately carbonated, and damn easy to drink. A nice medium bitterness finishes, and the moderate level of alcohol doesn’t leave you too toasted after drinking the whole bomber! This is a fine beer. I think I liked the Soul Doubt IPA better, but anytime I get something from Freetail, I’m always pleased. I have to go that way today, hopefully they’re open when I pass by so I can pick up something else to try!

Tap flight at the brewery. Cloudy apricot color pour with minimal white head. Papaya, mango, and grapefruit nose. Taste is similar with a touch of cereal and resin. Moderately creamy mouthfeel. Good.

proper elocution of what makes a San Antonio IPA, I am left to presume as it certainly tastes mighty fine to me.. Both draught and bottle hold up. Always glad I make it to Freetail. Subtle brilliance.

Dark, amber-orange color, mostly clear with a bright white head. Low carbonation. Aroma is fantastic... fresh, seriously piney hops dominate. Although it’s only 60 IBU, its nose reminds me of a double IPA with a nice grainy and hop-forward experience that has a whisper of what seems like alcohol. An excellent balance. It’s also much like a double IPA in the mouth... relatively thin, strongly-hopped and very green - much like green hay. It has a very complex palate for a single-hop beer, and is easy going down. Strong and hop-satisfying. Delicious.

YES. This is one of the best, cleanest, most hop accented (without yeast or malt character interfering) beers that I have had here. This is actually the best beer (of only 3 now) that I have had made with these FF hops. Well restrained bitterness which prevents a gripping astingency, but gives all the juicy hop goodness a hophead needs.

On tap. Clear amber color with ivory foam. Big dank spicy, pine hop aromas with some caramel. medium body. Nice pine, spicy hop flavors on a solid pale malt base, nicely bitter finish--very good
