Tap at the brewpub Yellow and hazy. Huge citrus and sour nose. Delicious sour and citric flavors that are well balanced and very drinkable. Superb.

On tap at RealTail 2012. Pours a cloudy orange with a medium frothy off white head. The aroma is a strong tart and sour fruit with light vanila malt. Hides alcohol well making it easy to drink, a very impressive sour ale from Freetail.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2013 2011 vintage, only 100 bottles made. Thanks Nate! Grainy rye aroma, yeast and oak round it out. Delicate balance of flavors on the palate, opens up considerably as it warms. Oaky, tart yeast, hay, rounded fruits, hints of spice. An interesting brew I’m fortunate to tick today.

Shared this with the crew today. Thanks to xpimptastikx for hooking me up via trade. The beer appears yellow and fairly hazy with a thin, white cap. The aroma is musty and funky, with a strong oak and rye presence. Light alcohol in the nose, as well as some subtle citrus notes. I really like the flavor. Lots of sourness and red wine. Excellent barrel notes. Really complex and wonderful. Overall, a terrific beer. I hope they make this again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-02-2011

Pours murky lemon yellow in color with a nice white head on top. The aroma is light sweet tart candy notes and some wild yeast lemon notes. The flavors of some tangy citrus tea notes come in on a lighter body and smooth easy drinking palate.

Bottle thanks to Dallas, another cool beer! Pours a hazy blonde color with a medium white head. A sour fruity nose, some vinous barrel notes and herbal elements. The flavor is nice: sweet blonde ale; some tart sawdust; sweet apricot; big straw/malt. Good, well made.

happy i got try this seeing as i couldn’t make it to the release .. . pours a medium tan .. medium head, medium lacing .. . old oranges, light wit, and funky spice .. . quite a myriad of things going on in this one, not quite sure what its end game was, but it did the trick .. . . better stop me, i’m calling the cops!
