On tap at Freetail. Hazy yellow with light creamy white head. Aroma is fruit punch and vanilla with a touch of sour. Medium carbonation. Flavor is pineapple, vanilla and lemon. A little sour and a little sweet...a perfect balance. Very refreshing and enjoyable! My favorite sour at Freetail so far!

Bottle courtesy of a recent Tampa Tasting. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a white head. Nose is citrus, oak, lemon, vinegar, and some light fruit with sourness. Flavor is similar- citrus, oak, lemon, vinegar, and light fruit combined with a nice burst of sour. Light to medium in body and a nice sour overall.

Draught clear medium gold, fine white bubbles. Noise of vanilla, pineapple, stone fruit, light acetone. Taste of acetone, vinegar, bourbon, vanilla, very tasty stone fruit. Needs some refinement for my taste.

On tap at RealTail 2012. Pours a cloudy orange with a medium frothy off white head. The aroma is a strong tart and sour fruit with light vanila malt. Hides alcohol well making it easy to drink, a very impressive sour ale from Freetail.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2013 2011 vintage, only 100 bottles made. Thanks Nate! Grainy rye aroma, yeast and oak round it out. Delicate balance of flavors on the palate, opens up considerably as it warms. Oaky, tart yeast, hay, rounded fruits, hints of spice. An interesting brew I’m fortunate to tick today.

Shared this with the crew today. Thanks to xpimptastikx for hooking me up via trade. The beer appears yellow and fairly hazy with a thin, white cap. The aroma is musty and funky, with a strong oak and rye presence. Light alcohol in the nose, as well as some subtle citrus notes. I really like the flavor. Lots of sourness and red wine. Excellent barrel notes. Really complex and wonderful. Overall, a terrific beer. I hope they make this again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-02-2011
