Warum Freiberger nun ausgerechnet bei dem Festbier noch auf den Bügelverschluss umsteigen musste... naja. Aber das Bier ist super, wirklich ein festliches Bier. Wie jedes andere von den Freibergischen Bieren würde ich auch das sofort wieder trinken.

Die Schaumkrone hält nicht so gut, farblich ist es weder hell noch dunkel. Es schmeckt alkoholisch herb etwas wässrig dumpf, mir gefällt es nicht so gut. Fazit: Für ein Festbier enttäuschend, aber zu einem Nachtest, dann am liebsten direkt vom Fass wäre ich bereit. Test vom 25.5.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,7,7,7,7,7 - 7,10

Bottle by 08.12. Very sweet grains and cereal nose, hint of corn. Pale orange body mixed with copper, sudsy beige. Taste is very sweet, a little grain, some hidden metal and corn, hint of butterscotch for the trifecta. Medium body is gentle. Really, the biggest problem here is the sweetness, which renders this quite drinkable for those able to overcome it.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Ins Glas ergießt sich ein schönes helles bernsteinfarbenes Bier ins Glas. Der Antrunk erfolgt anfangs sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Würzig, minimal muffig, dezent röstig. Ähnelt teilwesie fast schon einem hellen Bock! Zur Mitte wirds etwas fruchtig süßlicher. Der Hopfen kommt nur anhand von bitteren Extrakten raus. Komisches Ding. Die Aromenvielfalt weiss auf jeden Fall zu überzeugen, aber das Bier kommt erst nach der Hälfte richtig gut zur Geltung...

Botella. Clear deep golden colour, big nice white head. Fruitish hoppy aroma a good maltiness. Good mouthfeel. Flavour is pleasant with fruitish hops, toasty like malt, bit sweetness and a good bitterness. Nice Oktoberfest brew.

Pours light copper with a thin off-white head and a toffee aroma. There is a creamy fruity flavor with some herbs and a long toffee finish.

Bottle.Golden colour with off-white head.Aroma is sweet with taste of malt and caramel,medium carbonation and bready mouthfeels,short and light watery finish.

Bottle. Amber colour with a nice off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, caramel, spice, fruit and hops.

Bottle. Amber with a medium lasting head. Aroma of some bread and caramel. Flavour is sweet, with some fruit and spice. Palate is a little dry
