Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

33cl bottles, numerous FR occasions and localissimo locations. Du weißt, du bist Freiburger wenn...you find yourself dutifully reaching for a chilled one of these at the Döner/supermarket checkout, confronted with the usual suspicious chilled national macros, soapy Fürstenberg or the superior but sometimes too elegant-for-the-occasion Waldhaus alternatives. Label and recipe comfortably stuck in the 90s, but with a few upsides going for it: so local than I can smell their wort boiling from my balcony; apparently no hop extract used in this one; actually tastes like a lean Pilsner, not a confused malty SW-Helles. Minus: aroma upon popping the cap is sulphuric, with a generous helping of boiled vegetables for the nostrils. Pours decent dull gold. Onset of a naturally herbal hop profile (Tettnang zing and zest), leaner pale malts, not as sweet as most SW Pilsner (looking at you, Tannenzäpfle); disrupted by clean but characterless yeast profile and a duller cardboard finish. 2nd choice after Urtrunk when forced to drink bottled and localissimo.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.
Clear light to medium yellow color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, light to moderate cabbage water and cardboard. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruit. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. Bottle at the Mercury Hotel Panorama, Freiburg. Slightly bitter front that lingers the entire experience. A refreshing palate, but nothing really beyond that.

Bottle 33cl, a clear yellow beer with medium head and thin structure; nose is very hopy on grassy and vegetable side. Aroma is grassy and dry with a vegetable like bitterness, finish is not so pleasant on veg and metallic notes very dry and peppery.
