On tap in the Wildeman. Poured a murky yellow with a healthy white head. Aroma of floral hops with wheat and spices. Flavour is of coriander and some light floral hops. Haven’t really rated any Braustelle/Freigeist before, this is a distinct improvement, nice session beer.

Bottle from Whole foods Union Square. Bright pastel yellow, dark, cloudy, thick lace. Lemon, lactic nose, a bit of spruce too I think. Lovely flavor, lemon, sprucd, yogurt. Nice balance nad acidity and malt, quite tart but not really acidic. Can’t exactly put my finger on the spruce, but it seems to be adding something just right. Great.

Bottle courtesy of Alex. Thanks! Pours clear with off white head. Dissipates quickly. Aroma is pretty typical for the style and has a nice touch of tart vinegar to it. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is spot on and has a nice tart flavor that is real nice and not overpowering at all. Does not have any spruce notes at all. Not that I could get. I had this on a hot summer day and really enjoyed it.

33cl bottle thanks to Erzengel. Appearance is hazy gold. Thin medium head. Medium saltyness. Very balanced taste. Aroma is herby and citrusy.

500mL bottle into my Döllnitzer glass -- love the label, good to see the Völkerschlachtdenkmal get some love, it’s really worth the visit if you’re visiting Leipzig, relatively unknown to the larger world and really left an impression on me after several visits. Nose of the beer is, unfortunately, a disastrous mix of stale tire air and unhealthy yeast that covers over the lighter wheat and tart character. Pours yellow-golden, hazy with plenty of carb and a lively, clinging bright white head. Light body but not watery, medium-strong tartness but not puckering, not bitter, finishes on a bready-yeasty note. The spruce is also evident, perhaps more so than the coriander, but adds more a generic sense of "spice," perhaps closer to mint. Very soft and wheat-driven body, smooth and seems almost flat at times, but not oily or slimy. More volume brings out lighter citric notes, pale malt character, faint Skittles; some interesting bread crust character, but distinctly not graininess or caramel. Took me a while (and the bouquet was a major hurdle), but I’ve definitely come around to the subtlety and refreshment, worth a try for sure.

Bottle from European Secret Summer Santa 2014. Thanks McTapps! Pale yellow colour, some white foam. Low carbonation. Aroma of lemon with lactic sourness. Some fruity notes of green apple. Light sour with light bitter aftertaste. Easy drinkable. Good gose!

Draft. Poured a hazy pale color with an average off-white fizzy head that lasted with good lacing. Good aroma of wheat, salt and spruce. Medium body with smooth texture and soft carbonation. Good sour fruit and resin flavor with a complex sour finish of medium duration. Interesting complex brew.

500ml bottle, from Party Source. Shared. ABV is listed as 5%. Why is this listed as a fruit beer? Should probably be changed to gose. Hazy golden orange color. Thin little white ring of white head, kind of bubbly. Just a couple dots and bits of lace. Pretty light body. Like 3.5% light. Smooth, very light carbonation. Lightly dry texture. Pretty refreshing and very easy to drink. Good wheat texture, and nice saltiness. Light creaminess in both texture and flavor... Hint of citrus. Little bit of pilsnery taste. Moderate sweet taste, good light to moderate tart taste, and very nice moderate saltiness. Pretty tasty, satisfying gose. [initially rated 4/30/14, was put under wrong entry and moved myself] 7/3/7/4/14

500mL bottle purchased at The Davis Beer Shoppe. The aroma has some citrus lime hints, which become quite floral as well. I can get the slightest of pine character with a large inhale retronasally. Perhaps I am making it up, though. Mildly hazy golden-yellow body with a large, fizzy, quickly dissipating white head present. Starts with a bit of a tart, lemony character before this becomes a little buttery with notes of diacetyl in the middle. Becomes a bit rubbery in flavor later towards the end with a pine character. Weird.

On draft at Kudu (Charleston, SC). Hazy yellow/gold pour with tall white head. Aroma is lemon, pine, straw. Lots of lemon in the taste - sour but not overly so, wheat and some cherry notes on the finish. Smooth, not as crisp and dry as I wanted.
