3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap in the Wildeman. Poured a murky yellow with a healthy white head. Aroma of floral hops with wheat and spices. Flavour is of coriander and some light floral hops. Haven’t really rated any Braustelle/Freigeist before, this is a distinct improvement, nice session beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of tart lemon, lime, green apple, white grape, coriander, spruce, pepper, clove, sea salt, wheat, cracker, toasted bread, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy/spicy yeast, salt/spice, and bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of tart/tangy lemon, lime, green apple, white grape, coriander, spruce, pepper, clove, sea salt, wheat, cracker, toasted bread, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/piney bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, green apple, white grape, coriander, spruce, pepper, clove, sea salt, cracker, toasted bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy/spicy yeast, salt/spice, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/spice/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, dry, fairly sticky, and lightly saline/bready/acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a damn nice spruce spiced Gose style. All around great robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/earthy/spicy yeast, salt/spice, and bready malt flavors; with a very smooth and crisp to drink with the very well balanced mouthfeel. A very enjoyable offering.

Second time that I drink this one. Better the second time. Starts with a grassy and peach sour nose. Thes taste goes from a citric to a bitter medium endind. The highlight of the this beer is the coriander and salty taste.

Saborosa, diferenciada.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.5 l bottle from Rudat as "Freigeist Geisterzug Spruced Traditional Gose" (the back label confusingly but probably mistakenly speaks of Geisterzug Quince, added with rhubarb!?). Hazy, apricot with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Faint, sourish-citrusy aroma of lemon peel, rhubarb and gooseberry with hints of coriander. Sourish, citrusy-yeasty taste of lemon peel, gooseberry, peach and notes of coriander, followed by a tart, yeasty and maybe minimally salty finish with notes of spruce tips. Medium body, slightly effervescent and light astringent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice Gose without unnecessary experiments. Actually not that easy to drink but quite refreshing. Okay.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a completely hazed, orange-yellow color, with a fizzy, white head.
Spruces are well integrated into the the nose, adding a very herbal, earth supported spiciness to the nose, which is otherwise defined by dried lemon peel, a faint whiff of orange and a pleasant milk acidity. Fruits and spruces blend surprisingly well together, creating an intriguing nose.
Has a lively, slightly metallic carbonation, while developing enough body to remain tasty while being utmost refreshing.
Tastes of salty dough bread, wrapped up by a bright tartness, accentuated by even more refreshing fruits. Spruces add a pleasant herbal flavor to the taste, providing scented wood, earth and actually easy detectable pine needles themselves, which create a very unique flavor profile, due to the supporting fruits. Finishes with peppery clove among salt and fermented, sour orange peel, tied together by the bubbly carbonation.
Convinces by its creative blend between herbal, and fruity qualities, topped of by a pleasant, salty tartness. This results in a truly refreshing beer, which packs more flavor than your typical session beer, also convincing due to its thoughtful receipe, which could let you drink this during colder days as well.
