2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is salt, metallic, some wheat I guess, smells like a bad lager. Appearance is darker golden, white head, somewhat hazy. Taste is wheat, metallic, then salt, not much on spruce, pretty plain and boring. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, not crisp initially bit it gets there I guess, with a strong Budwesier aftertaste. Overall, this one is incredibly disappointing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - Hazy golden colour, medium whithe head, good retention. Bready aromas with dough and lemon juice. Taste is mildly salty with some crushed grains, some bread and lemon and orange juice. Light body, average carbonation, smooth texture dry and tart finish. Nice refreshing beer, but not my favourite.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
OK. Let’s discuss this beer by the label. ’Spruced Traditional Gose Beer’.
SPRUCED: Could hardly taste the spruce. There were earth notes, some sort of weird lactic thing like Camembert rind, and a lot of sweetness.
TRADITIONAL: Not even. No carbonation. As for the rest, see below.
GOSE: Checking RB’s own definition, this beer failed on "salt", "tart", and "strong wheat character". Depending on how you feel about 5%, it might fail on "low-alcohol".
BEER: No carbonation. No head. No essential...beeriness. And I’ve drank a lot of funky beers in my time. This thing was as lifeless as a vampire convention.
In short...utter fail. There is a fine line between "experimental" and "utter disaster". This beer crossed it, then for good measure crossed it twice and then peed on it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate wheat bread, coriander, spruce, light citrus, and faint lime. It pours a cloudy dull golden-orange with a rocky off-white head that has great retention. The flavor starts with light citrus and wheat. The finish has light-moderate spruce, light coriander, and a decent amount of lime. It’s light bodied with light carbonation.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Bottle) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of white bread, grass, hay, wheat-flour dough, lemon peel and a touch of spruce/pine needles. Malty, fruity taste with white bread, lemonade, lemon peel, hay, coriander, a touch of salt (emerging after a while) and a dry finish with a slight sourness and low bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Refreshing and tasty, but quite uncomplicated. Enjoyable.
