2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap @ Beachwood Brewing. Hazy burnt orange pour with a soapy white head. Smoke dominates the aroma. Lemon juice, grass, and mushrooms. A bit earthy and nutty. Flavor is fairly sour and acidic. Lots of lemon. Smoke is overbearing. Really drying and astringent. Some oak, grass, and a bit of mushroom funkiness.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Delightful smokey sour on the random pour down at City Beer last weekend. Golden pour, light white head. Sweet malts and light smoke on the aroma. Flavors are tender smoke, a touch of bacon, with a really pleasant barnyard funk covering over the rest of the flavors and through the finish. Great brew due to how polite all the flavors come out at you!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Spuyten Duyvil. Dark brown pour with a thick tan head. The aroma has a lot of sour character. A bit of soft toasty malt and a light cocoa character as well. A touch of tartness and a slightly wild character as well. Interesting brew but it doesnít really work for me.

3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tremendous, wonderful aroma, including smoked bratwurst, citrus, plastic, and bandaid. After that thereís not as much to be excited about; the flavors donít come out nearly as strong or distinctive. Hazy yellow. Still, a great experience for the aroma alone. (on tap, Church Key, Washington DC)

Sampled at THE FESTIVAL 2013, one of the first beers i had at The Festival. Enjoyed with Sebastian. Hazy golden pour, tart acidity with more than a wisp of smokiness. This worked for me. Nice beer

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Local Option. Color is very hazy gold with low clarity. Aroma is light smoke with strong Belgian dough yeastiness and a great lemon tartness. Basically, lemon-dough with light smoke. In the flavor the strong citrus tartness cuts through the thick Belgian dough flavor, which leads to a weird, novel and interesting flavor. Basically, tartness and Belgian dough mix with a big lacto finish. Cool stuff.
