Aroma of tart funk and slight smoke. Pours yeasty thick and orange. Taste is tart with orange peel, funk and a bacon aftertaste. I love this. Very cool.

500 mL bottle. Pours thick turbid straw colored. Nose is rauchy, sour mashy fruity, with bready malt, and mild funk. Tastes sour, rauchy, with citrus and lactic tartness. Like a rauch and berliner weisse hybrid, with extra gueuezy lactose thrown in. This one is unique.

2012-08-16. Hazy orange body with a nice off white head and lace. 3+ Pleasant Flavour has a refreshing modest sourness throughout, interesting fruit character. Mild malt base is more nuanced than most Berliner weisses.7+ Modest aroma alternates between a pleasantly fruity character with a bit of funk to a less pleasant funk. Muted malt notes. Had on Draft @ the Blue Monk in Buffalo,NY .. also got a bottle, right before at Village .. . deep orange .. great foam .. lacing is great .. tart, fruit, bready, and wheat notes .. . great mouth .. i could this all day .. . . its bigfoot..

16.9oz bottle. Rating #65. Hazy, but bright orangish/yellow pour with a little white head. Fruity and tart apple aroma, green. Tart upfront, but mellows out after a little bit, more green apple, but very mild. Nuce little drinker. (2466)

16.9oz bottle. Cool, totally hazy faded gold / amber color. Nice, thick foamy white head, leaving plenty lace. Light carbonation, very smooth, with a dry finish. The combo of smoke and weisse is very strange, even as a fan of smoked beers. Personally, I find it to be very interesting, but I can imagine that a lot of people might find this repulsive. There’s a tart light lemony flavor, with a full layer of smokiness over it. Cool contrast. Very interesting. It’s weird, but I can’t help but like it. Awesome stuff.

50cl bottle, thanks for sharing Greg/CK. Medium off-white head, hazy apple cider body. Aroma is medium sweet, some spicy, smoked wood, light lemon. Taste is medium sweet, lemon/tart, some smoke. Light-medium body, fairly clean, light acidity.

Tap. Pours a hazy orange with a large head consisting of tight small bubbles. Aromas of wheat, light tartness. Taste is smokey, sour, with a slightly sour finish. Alcohol seems high. Not very funky or sour. Average.

IDraft @ tap & mallet, rochester. Hazed peach color, thin off-white head, lacey. Smells of fruit...soft, somewhat tart, peachy flavors with the faint mety smokiness lingering in the finish...as decent and refreshing as this is, I don’t see much of a resemblance to berliner weisse. But maybe I do a bit with the tartness and the mellowness but the fruitiness is big towards the peach and the alcohol seems about double what it shoud be and that smokiness and lack of grainy notes...decent though.

Bottle. Tastes like a aecht schlenkerla stuislensis, or some kinda smoked sour blonde ale. Clean moderate lactic acid sourness. Bready smoked salmon aroma. Lemongrass, touch of citrus. Peculiar. Smokey aroma, and sour wheat ale taste. Nice enough.
