On tap at Mikkeller Bar SF. It pours an unclear, orange body and a nice, creamy off-white head. The aroma is lightly smoked, with lemony notes and a milky touch. Lemon, milky notes, a touch of farmyard and some smoke in the flavor. Lightly tart, dry and soft on the palate. The finish pretty much like the initial flavor. Nice. 130805

Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a La Trappe glass (closest I had to a bowl). Pours light amber with small white head which dissapates quickly. Medium body, medium carbonation, and light tart aroma. Taste is tart malt, some smoke (mostly pepperoni), and mild grain. Interesting and pretty good, but nothing really special.

From bottle. Hazy golden color with lots of head. Aroma is of banana, wheat and smoke. Taste is of a hefeweizen with smokey meat and subtle sour notes. Quite refreshing, surprisingly.

500mL Bottle, purchased in San Diego. Light smoked meat aroma, paired with some of that Hefe banana peel. At first, this is ass-kicking, thirst quenching, complex and rounded. As it warms, the wheat takes over with some rubberiness, the lacto gets a little languid, and the smoke fades into the background. I love the juicyfruit yeast quench finish and the breadth of the flavor profile, but I want a little more levity, bubbliness and a bit more sour tang. Still, worth trying.
