Like Freigeist Abraxas, it’s also inspired by the style Lichtenhainer, but this version is stronger (6% alc.) and contains more lactic sourness. Brewed until 2012 at Braustelle (375 ml bottle), from 2013 at Göller in Zeil (330 ml bottle).

Draught from Brouwerij Lane BK. Pours an almost clear copper with little head. The aroma is light smoke and lactic sourness, soft medium roast grain, some berry fruit. The flavor is reminiscent of sheep and lanolin with a medium. sourness and a light wooden finish in flavor and feel. The feel is watery with light pucker. Really interesting beer that could go well with food. Quite drinkable and not overpowering.

500mL. Pours low haze golden, larger white foam. Good retention and lacing. Nose is a bit estery with banana not mixing well with smoke. Sticky stale malt. Taste is stale malt, banana, smoke. Prickly carbonation. Sort of like banana seltzer water.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2013 Bottle from bierkompass.de, june 2010, brewed by Braustelle. Deep golden color, hazy. Malty, milky dusty aroma with a hint of smoke. Tart flavor with grapefruit and berries. Dusty, almost smoky notes. Infected, but drinkable. 6 3 6 3 11 = 2.9 2013 bottle, from Göller in Zeil. Blonde, cloudy. Apple, citrus and a hint of smoked sausage in the aroma. Lemon, apple and smoked sausage in the moderately sour flavor. Much better as the former version.

bartlebier (1195) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - MAY 31, 2013
33cl bottle at Braustelle, Köln during FdB 25/05/2013. Pours a light cloudy faint yellow, low carb. Slightly smokey, lactic sour, faint. Wey and ash. Strong réminiscences of? Ham in buttermilk. Astringent, cultured aftertaste. Very interesting, and while being none too bold, not advisable for sensitive stomaches.

Bottle. A hazy dark blonde beer, with a large, frothy, lightly lacing, mostly lasting white head. The aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread/grain), lightly to moderately yeasty (dust), with notes of smoke, lemon, banana. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, average length finish with light to moderate bitterness. A pleasant surprise. A strongly wheaty and lactic beer, with a good amount of both drinkability and complexity.

Gravity at Cambridge Beer Festival 2013. Wow this divided opinions! Crazy shit. Cloudy yellow brown. Smokey, funky, grainy, citrusy, lactic, sour. The ladies came up with lapsang souchong and lemon as a description, I thought a bit of kvass in there too. I think I liked it, was an experience for sure.

Hazy straw white head. Aroma of wheat smoke yeast/banana. Wheat on the palate with light smoke and yeast. Tastes like a lightly smoked hefe. Very drinkable with nice flavor and not offensive. I could really drink a lot of this beer.

Draft at Churchkey. Poured a cloudy yellow color, with a small very white head. Aroma was some lemony citrus notes. Flavor had some floral notes, other characters, some salt character to it, unrefined grain character. Enjoyable enough.
