Bottle: Poured a light hazy pale yellow color weisse with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of lactic sour notes with light subtle smoky flavour are quite interesting. Taste is a good mix between some lactic sour notes with some subtle smoky notes which are really not overpowering. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed with nice light touch of wheat notes.

Draft at Khyber Pass. Very cloudy yellow amber with a pillowy marshmallow fluff white head. Rows of lace. Overripe Meyer lemons. Some juicy fruit wheat notes. Mildly firm sweet and sour. Nicely balanced with a wood chip smokey bitterness. Sipping quickly the flavors feel divided and almost at odds (smokiness doesn?t kick in until the end.) Taking it in slowly the flavors play together much better. A juicy orange with a charred black skin. Medium palate. Interesting take on a Berliner Weiss.

330 ml bottle. Pours cloudy amber with small white head. Intensive roasty aroma with hints of sourness. Very sour tastewith notes of citrus and the roast disappearing into the background. The palate is dominated by a sourness that vanishes quickly and leaves a roasty finish. Very interesting beer!

Small white head, cloudy orange colour. Great smoked aroma with hints of bitterness. Sour citrus taste and a light smoked note in the overall very citrus-like palate. Unique.

On draft at Armsby Abbey. Pours a very cloudy straw color with white head. Aroma is bacon, very light funk, and wheat. Taste is smokey, lemon, with mild sweetness and a touch of tartness. Very interesting.

Hazy light orange pour with a white head. Quite a bit of smoke on the nose. Some peach sweetness, lemon, and a light saltiness. Mild malt sweetness, some wheat, and straw. Tastes quite smokey, too. Moderate lactic sourness, lemon zest, grass, and straw. Some peach and malt sweetness, a bit of salt, and some orange peel.

On draft, a light smokey wheat beer, some sweetness in there and not much sour, tasty

on tap at st. sour day, This has hints of smoke but mostly sour acidity, the slightly darker appearance than i was expecting, its not your stock standard bright gold, this i would assume is from the smoked essence. The taste of sour citrus and hints of smoke engulf the mouth upon each sip. This was on par for the mouthfeel with lots of carbonation and a great lightness to the body. Overall this was great and im glad i have a couple bottles in the cellar for the Berliner Tasting later.

A murky hazed golden weisse with a thin white head. In aroma, a smooth fruity and lactic malt with light peaty notes, wood extract. In mouth, a smooth pleasant lactic malt with lemon, intermediate smoked notes, bacon, nice. Shared with GRM, Oct. 2012.

Bouteille de 33cl embouteillée en février 2012. Bière blonde avec une mousse blanche. Au nez il y a un combat entre le citron et les malts fumés. Bouche moyennement acide, fumée, agréable, citronnée. Se laisse boire. 7/10
