Bottle. Clear orange with almost no head. Aroma is very fruity especially for a gueuze this age. I get apricots among other tropical fruits and funky cheese, Taste is very sour, mainly lactic citric, with some citrus peel, cheese and lemon acidity. Low carb and bone dry. Very intense gueuze. With appropriate carbonation, it could have been a worldclass gueuze.

Bottle shared by Tommy and Julien, thank you guys for the epic tasting you put together! Pours a hazy golden with no head escept for a really small rim that leaves no lacing. Nose is of funky blue cheese, green apples and other tart fruits. Taste is moderately tart with lemon and hay. Body is light to medium, carbonation low and mouthfeel juicy. Acidity level is just perfect for my palate. Pretty serious stuff right here! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

bottle shared by friends below. pours hazy/cloudy very pale golden with a very small white head, minimal retention and lacing. lemon-forward, granny smiths, definitely some funk in there, hint of tropical fruits, clean wood - soft tannins, light to medium acidity - citric, almost puckering though, old grassiness, pepper. low carbonation - could be brighter, light body, dry and sharp grassy-citric finish. reminiscence of old lambics - perhaps a significative proportion of 4 y.o. lambics. much enjoyed!

Bottle, thanks Jürgen. Glowing gold pour with ring of white foam. Aroma of apricots, lots of tropical fruit, delicate and floral aroma, light dusty notes, musty. Taste is quite tart, fruity acidity, citric. Palate is very dry, almost still, very thin carbonation. Really nice, tasty gueuze, could some more carb to liven it up.

Bottle (750 ml). From FrankZappa7, thanks Jürgen! Hazy bright golden with no head and no lacing. Aroma is of tropical fruits, funk, lemony notes, wood and minereal presence. Taste is funkier than aroma and a little less explosive on the tropical fruits aspect, musty, medium sourness, citrus/lemon and wood. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Dry finish. Quite complex. A little more carbonation would help propagate the flavors. Very good!

Huge thanks to Minh for sharing this. Pours a cloudy gold with small frothy white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is light oak, funk, barnyard and fruit. Thin mouthfeel with a very balanced tart and funk upfront, clean finish. Wow, really enjoyed this one.

750 ml bottle shared with some of my closest beer friends. Pours clear golden with a fine white collar. Very funky aromas, mixed with a grassy and yoghurt tartness. Taste is quite spicy in the beginning (my guess is due to Mort Subite lambic), quite crisp body, quite some sourness. Quite a special beer. Wow!

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2013 Big thanks to Joe(bucketboy) for bringing this one to the table. Poured a copper rusty color with a small pillow of white head. Nose was lemon, wood, horse blanket with a light funkiness Taste was citric, wood with a cheese funk which is much stronger in taste than nose. wet dog, horse blanket must quality mouthfeel was smooth. More carbonation in appearance than tounge Overall, if you dont consider this a whale now, their will be no question in a couple years. Very happy to have been able to try, and thanks Joe for letting me keep the empty, its a really cool bottle to display

Medium golden body, large white head, spotty lacing. A delicate, yet complex blend of aromas and flavors. Mixing musty wood, funk, lemon, hay, and an earthy minerality. Medium to light bodied with a delicate acidity throughout, gentle carbonation, nice zip in the finish. This one puts Uli on the map--no questions.
