4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle shared by me at jrallenís.
Pours a sunny orange/yellow color, white head, thin collar, spotty lace. Nose is lots of orange peel citrus, funky barnyard, nice level of fruity tartness in there as well. Not very sharp at any point, very smooth and well-blended. Flavor is funky cheese, excellent tartness, citrus peel, slight pucker from the sourness, barnyard musk. Light body, light carbonation, dry finish.
This beer is simply outstanding and amazingly blended. As good or better then anything coming from 3F or Cantillon for sure. Not sure if Iíll be able to try this again, being that itís so limited, but man I would jump at the chance to try more of this. Simply, a winner.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Huge thanks to Minh for sharing this. Pours a cloudy gold with small frothy white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is light oak, funk, barnyard and fruit. Thin mouthfeel with a very balanced tart and funk upfront, clean finish. Wow, really enjoyed this one.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle shared with some of my closest beer friends. Pours clear golden with a fine white collar. Very funky aromas, mixed with a grassy and yoghurt tartness. Taste is quite spicy in the beginning (my guess is due to Mort Subite lambic), quite crisp body, quite some sourness. Quite a special beer. Wow!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2013 Big thanks to Joe(bucketboy) for bringing this one to the table.
Poured a copper rusty color with a small pillow of white head.
Nose was lemon, wood, horse blanket with a light funkiness
Taste was citric, wood with a cheese funk which is much stronger in taste than nose. wet dog, horse blanket must quality
mouthfeel was smooth. More carbonation in appearance than tounge
Overall, if you dont consider this a whale now, their will be no question in a couple years. Very happy to have been able to try, and thanks Joe for letting me keep the empty, its a really cool bottle to display

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Medium golden body, large white head, spotty lacing. A delicate, yet complex blend of aromas and flavors. Mixing musty wood, funk, lemon, hay, and an earthy minerality. Medium to light bodied with a delicate acidity throughout, gentle carbonation, nice zip in the finish. This one puts Uli on the map--no questions.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From a 75cl bottle, pours clear orange/copper with a small white head and persistent, slowly-rising small bubbles. Nose is musty, lemon, wet wood and a pretty refined funky quality. Mouth is a splash of citric lemon acids, then a deep musty wet wood, cheese rind, funk quality that really surprised me. Clean citric acids throughout and maybe a whisper of green apple. Feel is soft. Depth of must/funk is impressive, considering the soft feel it kind of reminds me a bit of the í99 Drie Fonteinen in its deep brie-rind like mustiness. Drank this next to a 2010 Cantillon Classic for comparison. The Cantillon is spriztier (strange), more acidic, more mushroom. Both very impressive beers but I think I enjoy this Esz a bit more.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear orange golden colour, white head. Tart aroma, citrus, funk, silage, grape, brett, horse blanket, light leather. The 3F is quite pronounced, or is it just me? Sour, tart flavour, light sweetness, quite balanced for so many lambics in a blend, so much more balanced than Horals blend. Light carbonation, tart fruity finish.
It just recently dawned to me that when Uli shared a pour from a bottle late in the night during de Nacht van de Grote Dorst, explaining all the lambics and calling it sz, that he meant this beer, as I hadnít heard about it being bottled by Freigeist. Great beer, from "the best German lambic steker", and really one of the most interesting ones around atm. Looking forward to see more lambic blends, the ones in Moen and Essen were quite the little treats too.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is horse blanket, barnyard, dry, grape, wood, citric, leather. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate acidic with a long duration, dry, barnyard, tart, brett. Body is medium, texture is oily to watert and dry, carbonation is flat. Very nice gueuze and balanced - very nice blend.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thanks a bunch to Sean for bringing the hella rare tix, you are my fucking dawg. Pours golden orange in color with Little to no head. Nose is musty, lemon rind, stone fruit, and mineral...very bright and fresh. Flavor is nice, but a little more muted than the elite gueuzes. Very nice and balanced but doesnít punch you in the face with funk or sourness. Bland mouthfeel, no carbonation, moderate sourness, and a short to moderate finish. Itís a very good gueuze, but I think itís just a tier below the elite gueuzes of the world. I would definitely trade for a bottle of this, it is well balanced and will probably age pretty gracefully. Thanks again Sean.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 75cl. An almost clear one, golden in color and with some off-white bubbles on top. Lightly lemony on the nose, funky and barnyard-ish, with some leather. Semi-tart, but still lightly sweetish, softly carbonated. Lemony, lighlty vinegarish flavor with barnyardy funk. Well, not the most complex beer, thatís for sure, but itís easy drinkable and quite tasteful. 121109
