JDBaker11058 (1790) - Maryland, USA - MAY 30, 2016
appearance: cloudy gold, short fizzy white head quickly fading juicy, full of lemon, pear, cracker, light funk and salt. aroma: sweet and slightly sour, a bit of sea water, light fruity notes full of lemon, pear, some pineapple. finish: a bit of saltine cracker and light funk, with some lasting fruit. notes: Never had quince by itself, so maybe that’s where the lemony-pear flavor came in. Really nice and refreshing. Vertical with Zoltan, including the rhubarb and spruce versions. Knightly Spirits, Disney 2016.

Alluring sour aroma in a cloudy golden pour. Flavor profile is a lovely balance of sour, sweet, and salt. An excellent variation on the style - from a brewer that seems to know what they are doing with it.

ogivlado (7076) - Zagreb, CROATIA - MAY 16, 2016
Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Domagoj, thanks! As Quince Gose. Yellow/golden coloured, medium sized white head, touch of grapes in the nose. Malty, bready, light fruity and notes of grapes and yeast with touch of (almost radler like) quince. Mild salty finish.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a typically carbonated transparent golden orange brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was musty and dry. The semi-dry smooth mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish herbal aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of bitter semi-sweet rye mild citrus herbal and dry. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Rask0lnikov (569) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 25, 2016
Pale yellow colour. Medium white head. Malts and sourness in the aroma. No quince in my nose. Sour beginning. Slight candy taste. Hints of caramel. Slightly soyr finish. No saltiness. Light bodied, medium carbonated, descent brew. Would have expected more sourness and quince from here.

Grapefruit, lime, star fruit nose, not strong. Very hazy amber, medium head. Lime, grapefruit underneath. Abrupt finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, very neutral. This brewer understands the style.

Shared 16.9 oz. bottle. As Freigeist Geisterzug Quince Gose. Pours a pale golden with a white head. Aroma and flavors of lemon, pear, wheat, spruce, and salt. Finishes lightly sour and salty. Decent.

Aroma: Keopectate like, but somehow not in a bad way; Appearance: hazy, golden pour with thin white head that dissipates slowly; Taste: a little sour and funky but not overwhelming; some spices and fruitiness; Palate: medium body with long, sour finish; Overall: different and refreshing but not stellar; would buy again.
