Alengrin (1824) - BELGIUM - AUG 20, 2014
Atypical, wood-aged Altbier with thin beige head and misty bronze colour. Aroma spicy, malty and woody, caramel, hazelnuts, aniseed, liquorice, pepper, thyme, oak; taste of dried fruits, caramel malts, toasted bread, oak, grassy hoppy finish. Very enjoyable.

Idiosynkrasie (3853) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 13, 2013
375ml bottle [BBE 03/2012]. Cloudy brown colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, long lasting, moderately lacing, pale beige head. Killepitsch aroma, herbal with lemon touch. Taste is initially minimally sourish, malty, later dry and minimally roasty malty, cautious hints of Killepitsch throughout that reign the finish and cumulate with every sip like chili hotness; sticky palate. Of course this can’t be a rating giving the original, fresh product a fair chance; but the genuine intention is still imaginable.

Countbeer (4483) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAY 21, 2012
Bottle: Medium vast tan brown head on top of a deep murky shit brown colored beer. You gotta love this. The smell is a decent funky mix of hops, fresher hops, citrus, older hops, sweat, malts, herbs/spices and something wood sour (bit like wild yeast a like) with some sweets like barleys and light brown sugary touch. Taste is a good mix of funk, malts, barley malts, hops, citrus, hint of lemon, hint of peach, some sugars, yeast, spicy and wilder yeast. Not complex but really tasty! Short funky barley malt spicy aftertaste. Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium to fuller body and a light watery texture. Nice funky mix with barley malts hops and some sweets. Tasty!

Unique blend of a Kolsch body with a lambic character. Aroma of wood, alcohol, fruit, and pepper. Tastes sweet with some astringent properties at the end, fruits, some vanilla, and wood again. Tried with Angela, Jessica L., and Dave in Delft on Queens Night.

375 ml bottle. From bierkompass.de.
Murky dark brown colour with average to big tan head. Looks like hot chocolate. Sweet caramel, chocolate, berry sourness and tartness, mild fruity hops, spices, dark malt and vanilla in aroma. Flavour is also complex with toasted malt, fruity and berry hops, mild bitterness, tartness and some spices. Could be slightly richer and thicker. Bitterness in aftertaste. I’m not sure if this is anyway better than normal Hoppeditz.
