500ml bottle pours a hazy amber color with a finger of white head that leaves only a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is cherries with some light roasted notes, chocolate and grass. Taste is a grassy hop bitterness with a chocolate malty sweetness and some tartness from the cherries. Light to medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, a mild porter worth trying at least once.

Nice intense cherry in the beginning. Nice intense cherry with a malty not too sourish body. Fresh cherry, smooth malty sourish, nice and easy to drink. Fresh, fruity, malty sour. Nice.

Moravius (870) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUL 12, 2015
Flasche (50 cl; ohne MHD) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Tiefes Rotbraun, undurchsichtig; dunkelbeigefarbener Schaum.

Bottle. Hazy, brown color with hardly any head. Aroma is funky, not much cherry to the smell. Slightly fruity, no artificial cherry to this at all. Taste is very sour with hints of fruit, woody chocolate and old grains.

Lubiere (11237) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 17, 2015
A dark brown porter with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel and chocolate malt with vanilla extract, fudge, treacle, decadent. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel chocolate with peated notes, scotch character, grassy hops, lactic acid, burned Caramel, interesting. On tap at La Fine Mousse.

b3shine (6763) - Indiana, USA - MAR 30, 2015
Draft to taster at HopCat in Indy. Looks decent; a very hazy amberish brown with foamy light beige head. Smells malty and oaky with some cherry presence as well; the flavors fight more than they wed though. Tastes like it smells with a semi-tart mouthfeel that’s medium to medium full-bodied. Underwhelming.

Bottle, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours a dark brown with reddish hues when held up to light, the head is small and leaves some lacing on the glass.

The aroma is really not very good, the only thing this really reminds me of is old imported English ESB stored on a warm shelf forever, which is to say it has loads of sweet and garbage malty & oxidative characteristics. Mild cherry & roast. Gracious this doesn’t smell good.

The flavor is still plenty oxidized, sherry like, & cardboardy... although you do get some nice roasty maltiness and a great dosing of sour cherries here. I actually love the cherry character, which is dominant.... but most of what’s going on here isn’t great.

Huh, I really had high expectations of this one... good brewery, intriguing style, something went wrong.
