COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Thanks Benzym for sharing! Probably the darkest Kølsch on earth with a fine mix of dark chocolate and coffee, quite a bit of coffee. Very balanced finish, overall quite harmonic with the coffee triumphing in the end, lovely.

10/11/11/12//12

Draught at the Festival der Bierkulturen Cologne, 05/15/2010! In the glass is a deep black stout with good, high, creamy crown. The smell is almost neutral, subtly sweet roasty and chocolaty. The beer starts with a lot of coffee beans, sweet whole. Could something be extant, but it’s still good to drink. The finish shows also quite sweet and coffee-like, minimal bitter. Later in the sweet sound subsides somewhat, it comes through more bitter coffee aroma and some caramel. The finish will be very mild and palatable than at the beginning! Delicious, mild stout, indeed.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy and dark brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is liqourice and roasted malt with a light spice note. Roasted and malty. Dark breadish and vague liqourice flavoured. Good level of sweetness to a mild bitterness. Lingering liqourice and roasted finish.
