22oz. Bomber. Trade. No date. Tulip glass. 60-65 degrees. Subtle aromas of dark dried fruit, chocolate, coffee, roasted marshmallow, roasted nuts and spice. Flavors of roasted malt, roasted coffee, roasted NUTS and spice. Medium weight, lower creamy carbonation, medium-long finish.. Lingering flavors are best.. Roasted malt, roasted nuts, bitter coffee and bitter chocolate last for about 60+ secs! Nice! Overall, subdued aromatics, with nice roasty, toasty malt flavors, with strong bitterness and a balanced mouthfeel and good lingering flavors.. I'm definitely enjoying this more and more with each sip... Not a brash in your face beer, though more one of grace, balance and lasting impression. I can imagine this would be awesome aged in bourbon barrels. Glad I got to try this.. Needs time in the glass to open.. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Pour is a almost black with a small white head. Aroma is chocolate malt with some deep roast but also a nice hop. Flavor is more of the roasted malt with a surprisingly hoppy backbone. Finish is a little sweet and bitter. Decent winter warmer. None of the flavors really overpowers the other but they are all there.

22 oz bottle, thanks Poisoneddwarf- Pours a very dark ruby red with a thin light tan head that reduces immediately to a collar. Aroma is caramel malt, some cinnamon, chocolate, somewhat subdued. The taste is velvety smooth, creamy, chocolate, caramel, toffee, nutty. Body is medium and mouthfeel is creamy and lasts long after the swallow. This brewery continues to impress me, great craft brewery that is quickly making a name for itself.

Bottle from BottleWorks, Seattle. Pours a dark opaque brown, slight amount of tan head. Aroma caramel, chocolate, 2-row Pale. Body full and rich without being overly thick. Finish a well-balanced bittersweet chocolate, with some treacly notes as well. Jealous this isnít on the shelf near me.

Pour from a can. Nice dark pour with a tan head and lots of lacing. Nice roasted malt nose with hints of Belgian yeast by products. Really nice taste - slight heat on the finish with a touch of hops and spice.

Bomber. Aroma is roasty, like good coffee, pussy, like good pussy, wet river rock. Pours deep mahogany with a one finger beige head with good retention. Taste is lightly sweet, roasty, a little smoky, nutty, earthy, finishing lightly bitter. Perfectly creamy mouthfeel with average carbonation. When it comes to winter warmers, this is top of the line, although I prefer the bourbon barrel version.

Thanks Hucks for aging this for me! Bottled 18OCT11 Pours a dark brown with a sheet of tan foam and a spotty leftover of lace. Nose is lots of caramel, toffee, tawny character - surprised given the SRM here. I like the sweet nose on this one. Flavor is sharply dry with malts and hints of sweetness and a molasses character. The malts have oxidized slightly over the year and have developed a woody character. Medium bodied with moderate carb and a semi dry finish. Nice beer. Serving type: bottle 10-09-2012
