Guest tap at Pike. I wrote down Abominator so hopefully the right one. Dark beer with light head and good lacing. Strong dusty strong malt aroma. Creamy slick body and very nice light chocolate and coffee.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown, nearly black pour, medium beige head. Sweet roasted aroma, dark fruit, caramel, actually a little fruitcakey. Slightly charred roast on the flavor, bread and caramel maltiness, solid bitterness on the finish with citrus rind and resin.

Draft at Tap House Bellevue. Pours a murky, nearly opaque dark brown with a loose and thin dark tan head. Brown bread, molasses, and ginger cookie on the nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Brown bread, molasses, and cookie dough on the mid palate. Mild sweet malty finish. Nice enough.

On tap at The Taphouse, pours dark amber with a beige head. Aroma of caramel malt, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. Flavour of vanilla, caramel malts, and bitter (too much so) finish. Decent.

Very roasty and chocolaty. Tastes more or less like a decent porter. 7.5% abv was appreciated and well disguised. Overall, not that impressive.

August maroon-amber body. Candi sugar and scotch malt backbone with notes of bubblegum in aroma and flavor. Reserved roastiness. Nice body, alcohol is completely masked. Good stuff.

Growler from Fremont Brewing Company. Personally, I thought the bourbon barrel aged version was a bit better, but this was pretty good, too. Smells like maple syrup and brown sugar. Hops give t a nice kick. Malt flavor coats the mouth and lasts for a while. I will definitely be trying some more from the FBC.
