Pours a straw yellow. IPA? Huh? Weird, weird color for this style. Put it to your nose, though, and you’ll come around - this stuff has a hugely powerful aroma of straight hops. So strong it’s almost like a vinegar. The color of this one seriously belies the intensity of the aroma and flavor. It’s one-sided, for sure - there’s very little malt balance in here. Until the aftertaste, that is, when it starts to warm up a bit, moving into some more caramel-like notes. Really interesting stuff - I’d say more bizarre than intriguing, but... memorable.

Draft. Golden beer with an off-white head. light grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light summer fruits and light vanilla. Medium body. Nice bitterness. Grapefruit lingers with light pine, earth, light sumemr fruits, and vanilla.

Draft at Brouwer’s. Pours crisp bright golden with thin creamy white head. Bright danky oily hop grass with some white bready and a slight bit of butter. Crisp and ’crackery’ with light hops that are pretty noble in character. Decent but the bit of butter on the nose and lacking a bit in the hop flavor kills it for me.
