Draft at Fremont this fall. New year’s resolution: no more backlog. Anyway, my notes: "clear light amber-orange. Grassy, pine, citrus, weedy. Lightly sweet toast and biscuit, with lasting bitter finish. Lean, dry finish. Grainy. Medium- body, oily texture. Alright, and a new tick. 3.6."

22 ounce thanks to 5000. Nice grapefruit aroma. Pour is really piney and citrus. Nice bitterness. If I lived in Seattle, and at this price, this would be in my fridge all the time. Thanks, Andre!

22. Pours a slightyly hazy rubied medium amber with a few steadily rising nucleation columns and a nice dense creamy layer of tan foam on top. Loose spotty lace. Big fresh grapefruit, pineapple, and mango nose. Delicious. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Bright oily tropical fruits, toast, and caramel on the mid palate. Crisp bitey resiny finish. Great little IPA. Amazing power for 6%.

A lighter colored IPA just the way I like it.

Nose is all grapefruit pith, flavor is slightly over-ripe yellow grapefruit. Easy drinking, refreshing, just not exceptional in any way.

Bomber. Pours a pale orange and copper color with an inch of sudsy off-white foam. The aroma has lots of tangerine, lemon and pineapple with a little bit of pine resin in the background. The flavor starts out with a good dose of grapefruit, orange and citrus rind in addition to some leafy hops bitterness and biscuit malt notes. The body is well-carbonated with some slight creaminess and a mildly sweet, herbal finish. Another excellent summertime brew from Fremont.

On tap at the brewery. Pours copper with a finger white head. Smell is grassy citrus, hoppy. Taste is nice hoppy bitterness, grassy and pine. Lighter bodied. Nice ipa.

Bottle:   Golden colored, fine sediment seems to float around, white dishwater like head, fairly nice lacing.   Bright hoppy nose, slightly floral.   Sweaty hoppiness up front, a little fragrant but dull.   Otherwise a pithy like hoppiness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes with a pithy like hoppiness.   Seems a bit fresh, but not as sweet in floral or citrusy sort of way.   Finish is rather pithy.   Decent example.

Bottle... Poured copper, red with a thick, eggy head. Bubbly and nice lacing. Nice hop nose. Pine, peppery spiced, citrus, hop flavor. Caramel malt. A little drying, clean and low yeast esters. Quite complex even for the lower abv.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 04/27/2012. The beer pours a clear amber color with a medium frothy white head that burns away steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of fresh citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character and flavors of citrus, malt and other sweeter fruits. The finish is fruity with a hoppy aftertaste. Above average organic IPA overall.

Bottle shared by another patron at the Smuttynose tasting at Ale Wine & Spirits on 4/27/12. Clear gold/amber pour with a thin off-white head. Piney and malty nose with come citrus and grassiness. Flavor starts malty, but quickly turns to piney and grassy hops through to the finish. One of the better organic beers I’ve had.
