Pours a black color with a light tan foam. Aroma of oatmeal malt. Taste is burnt oatmeal, malty backbone, with some coco notes. Flavor is a little burnt, with a deep bitterness in the aftertaste that lingers on the palate well after the swallow.

March 6, 2015 - can via trade. Dark pour with some head that faded quickly. Aroma was chocolate and grain. Taste was consistent with aroma, but had a roast that was almost smokey / ashy.

On draft at the brewery. Dark brown, near black pour, tan head. Milk chocolate, roast, ground coffee, a bit watery, and mild bitterness. Ok, I’m not terribly impressed.
