22 oz bomber. Pours a beautiful hazy golden color, with a pearly white head. Some lacing. Aroma is yeasty banana and clove. Flavor is a pleasant combination of bread and fruit, with cidery notes. The palate is lively, with a nice finish. Overall a great seasonal offering from my favorite Seattle brewery.

Ar: Light aroma on this. Yeasty. Cloves. Apricots. AP: Light straw in color. Medium haze. Half finger white head with less than good retention but good lacing. T: Great Belgian yeast flavors. Cloves. Apricots. Light wine qualities. Slight apple. M: Light bodied, but not watery. Medium carbonation. Very crisp. Very dry finish. O: Very good Saison. I always enjoy Fremont’s beers. Would definitely recommend this one.

Tap at Fremont, Seattle - 08/11/12. Clear pale golden with a thin white head that soon clears to the edge and forms a pond. Nose is pale malts, spice, cloves, pumpkiny/earthy tones, some light sourness. Taste follows, slightly tarte, earthy fruit tones, apples, light caramel. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a light bitter finish. Decent.

Bomber from Malt and Vine. Pours orange gold with a foamy white head. Aromas of earth, fruit and citrus. And clove. Med body. Flavor is distinctly earthy, with light pitted fruit and citrus, followed by fairly insistent clove. Dry and crisp is a fair descriptor. Drinks easy.

Light golden in color, hazy with a thin head. Cloves, light fruit aroma and flavors. I get the spices coming out very nice and the malts add to the flavor. Dry and crisp this was a very good Saison.

Bottle at a recent BA/RB tasting... Poured golden with a white head. Sweet, yeasty, with some spice and light vinous fruit characters. Wheat and vanilla with a balancing hop character.

Lightly spicy, lightly fruity sweet aromas. A little pepper, citrus, apple, herb notes. Pours hazy golden, great creamy head and awesome lace. The flavor is spicy up front with pepper, herbal notes, a touch of dust, a touch of fruit - apple and white grape, peppery with an herbal lingering spicy finish. Easy to drink, not overly assertive but well put together as usual.

Bottle. Pours an opaque golden yellow with small white head. Aroma of wheat and cloves. Flavor is wheaty with hints of banana and spices. Not what I was expecting from an autumn seasonal, but pretty good.

draft @ brewery; light range and mostly clear; thin spotty white head; light pepper, dried flowers, maybe chamomile; clean profile with some dry pilsner malt; a little creamy on the palate; not much interns of complexity, but not overly sweet like some examples; has some dried fruit; not enough malt though; decent

Pleasant, malt-forward beer with a healthy amount of sweetness. Somewhat cloying amounts of honey and caramel. Snappy hops are refreshing, herbal and spicy. Subtle fruit notes of pear, apples and white grapes. Even though it’s on the sweet side, it is refreshing. Curiously, this beer seems more like a maibock than a saison.
